Website

Our website makes use of the latest advances in Internet technology to give you the best web experience that we can.
The site is optimized for viewing at a relatively high resolution (1280 x 1024 pixels). It requires you to have javascript enabled to function correctly, but don't worry - if you haven't we would have told you by now!
Although we design with Internet Explorer in mind, the site should work equally well in Firefox, Chrome, Iron, and Safari browsers. If you know better, please share your experience with us!

Information

Resolution and file size

The maximum resolution of the photographs is determined by the originating equipment, i.e. the camera outfit. Mark uses digital cameras with a minimum resolution of 2848 x 2136 pixels (6MP) to create jpg images for the web at 72 dpi. When shooting for pictures that will be commercially printed, he uses cameras with a minimum resolution of 4592 x 3056 pixels (14MP). If he is shooting for large format prints, he is likely to shoot at much higher resolutions. When necessary/desirable Mark will frequently capture in RAW - when this is so, the RAW files are also available.

The bottom line is that he will always shoot to generate appropriate camera images. These images usually have a very large digital file size (from 2 to well over 5MB (jpg) (approx 27 Mb RAW when available) so we provide a facility for you to download the picture from our server in jpeg format, rather than clog your mailbox.

Cameras

Mark will select and use a camera or cameras suitable for the task. Similarly he will choose from a range of appropriate lenses and accessories according to the circumstances of the shoot.

Your requirements

Because of the above, when you place an order it is helpful if you can give as much information as possible about the intended use for the photographs, including print details if appropriate.
